The first Trench Crusade FAQ document has been recently published on the Discord server. You can download it from the link below:
Due to Tuomas Pirinen’s commitment towards completing the rules and preparing the manual for printing, rules Q&A are scheduled to be released slowly but at regular intervals (the plan is to release a FAQ document every two weeks).
I took the time to update my House of Wisdom page with all the compiled information from the FAQ and the Discord server, and I’ll regularly keep it updated with any new answers. Anything that is marked with (F) is from the official FAQ, while answers marked by (C) are coming from official sources so it’s reliable information. The rest are interpretations of the rules by the Discord community that have not been officially confirmed yet, so they might be affected by bias or not be fully reliable and can be disproved by future rulings.
In various articles across the site you could find these two icons, that refer to explanations and answer reported in the House of Wisdom page. The first denotes entries confirmed by the official FAQ or by statements by Tuomas or other members of the Factory Fortress Inc. staff. The second one refers either to unclear rulings or to interpretations given by the community who are therefore subject to possible review.
When approaching rules at this stage, my advice is: attempt to adhere Rules-as-Written when possible, but always be aware of the context. The rules are still in Playtest Phase so, though almost ready, they are still subject to changes. In addition the wording is not always 100% waterproof and some times the letter of certain rules doesn’t fit the intentions and may inadvertently conflict with other rules. Don’t worry however, a lot of work is being done to ensure the final rules are of the highest possible quality.
